Health & care

Start with the
whole dog.

Our priorities are simple: health first, then conformation and personality.

Health is not a marketing line. It is the starting point.

We believe responsible breeding means paying attention to the things that shape a dog’s comfort, character, and future. We are intentional about every decision because families deserve openness, care, and a breeder who puts the dog before the trend.

Why this became personal.

When I brought home Max, my fluffy French Bulldog, I knew I wanted to pair a French Bulldog with my Boston Terrier, Stella. Having his health tested opened my eyes to how much there was to learn about inherited health and helped me look beyond coat type and appearance.

That experience shaped my priorities: learn more, ask better questions, and put health before looks. It is why testing matters to me, for our parents and for every puppy in this litter.

Both Max and Stella have completed health testing, and all six puppies’ results are pending. We welcome conversations about the results, what they mean, and each puppy’s individual needs, so families can make an informed decision before bringing a puppy home.

The practical details

Puppy care & going home.

A clear look at our puppies’ care and what is planned for their move to your family.

Health testing
Both parents have completed health testing. All six puppies have also been health tested, with results pending. Health testing results help inform our decisions, but cannot guarantee a puppy’s future health.
Vaccinations & deworming
Our puppies follow an age-appropriate vaccination and deworming schedule. They will be up to date on vaccinations and deworming appropriate for their age before going to their new homes.
Microchipping & AKC Reunite
Each puppy will be microchipped, with enrollment in AKC Reunite’s lost pet recovery service included.
Paperwork for a fresh start
All necessary paperwork will go home with each puppy, giving their new forever family the information they need for a confident, well-supported start together.
Lifetime support
Your connection with Mountain Hearth Frenchtons continues long after homecoming. Families have lifetime access to us for questions about their puppy as they grow and throughout their life.
Pet health insurance: being finalized
We are exploring a year of pet health insurance for each puppy. The provider, eligibility, coverage and duration are not yet confirmed. We will confirm the details with families before puppies go home.
